My head is hurting from last night. I enjoy beer but something about that hoppy brew is such a pain. I stayed in bed until I could lift my head and not have to wait for the rest of the world to catch up. Then, after a pot of coffee I headed downstairs to see what the cuisine was like in this hotel. unforunately I didn't make it in time for breakfast. By the time I hit the lobby resteraunt They had already put out their lunch menu. While perusing their list of eats I saw that they had wild mushroom ravioli so I asked them what type of mushrooms were in these little pillows of goodness. The waiter couldn't amswer the question so he went to ask the cook. When the cook had a problem answering the question that concerned me. This isn't exactly what I expected at a four star hotel, my illusions are shattered. What it means to is that the ravioli was probably a mish mash of fungi. Probably some morel for flavor but mostly domestic farmed mushroom to keep the cost low. Probably served with some heavy sauce that covers the delicate flavor of the mushroom. So I decided to go with the lobster chicken str fry instead. While waiting on the meal I enjoyed a nice glass of O.J. to try to counter my hangover. The juice was tasty and fresh squeeze, with a CA sour twang to it. Exactly what I expected in a 4 star restaraunt. This fabulous beverage did wonders in bringing the world in sync with my throbbing head. Unfortunately it little to relieve said throbbing. When the meal came out the lobster look a little dry, kind of like the lobster at Red Lobster. However, when I bit into it was moist and tender, and delicous. No furtherr flavoring was required, well maybe a little red pepper flakes but that didn't detract from its tastiness.
