This has been a really strange weekend. Because of Veteran's day we were off on Friday. Friday was spent scoping the internet, then doing my laundry. On Saturday I went to church because I had duty on Sunday. So by Saturday evening I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn't Sunday evening.
Man did I need to do laundry. Because of 1st class assoc meeting a D&B last Friday, the mens retreat later on that day until Sunday, and couple all this with piss poor planning on my part, I never got to do laundry last weekend. By the middle this last week I had recycling clothes, I had to wear gym gear for scivvies, all and all it was disgusting.
Saturday service is pretty nice. It I think it is about the size of what 0800 service use to be. whether this is because the game was in town or it is a normal occurance, but less people usually means a looser group. Miles was preaching the second part of the deuteronomy series he titled Mobedience. This sermon was titled Sin No Mo. Basically Moses was reminding about all there complaining the tribe had done all the way to promise land and while they wondered the wilderness. they complained about water, meat, the leaders God had placed under. Now that they were going into the promise land they need to remember and sin no mo'. Miles was more informal on Saturday, my guess is because since there is only one service on Saturday it doesn't seem so much like a grind. On Sundays most of the services are more getting the word out and getting the congregation out the door so the next group can get in.
