2 mile swim today. At least that is what it was suppose to be, it turned out the instructors decided that it would be helpful for their student to turn it into a 3mi swim.

It is hell week this week for 1st phase. While standing off of a bouy some moron officer decided that he would treat his family to a rec flight in a government helo. For the most part I could care less how some Zero misuses government equipment, but this moron had his pilots fly low over second phase as they stroke to the second bouy. Then the helo hovered off of where I was trying to stand off one of the bouys. Unfortunately for the 2nd phase instructors a helo hover in close proximatey of where they are trying to count makes it kind of hard them to complete the task.
During the op I started having trouble with my throttle cable again. Last time I was working with 2nd phase, this class as a matter of fact I had trouble with my throttle cables. That time the reverse cable broke as I stood off a bouy while the instructor was counting students. I was backing down trying to maintain a safe distance from the bouy when is happened. So instead of backing down my boat shot forward. This time it was as dramatic. My Starboard throttle was out of adjustment so when it was at maximum reverse I was only getting about 3% power. I've probably mentioned before that I hate 2mi swims with 2nd phase. Floating 2yd from a bouy that people are swimming around, and having people taking bottom sample not half that distance. It just makes it more fun when the boat I'm driving isn't working at a hundred percent.
